Help scientists Neil Losin and Nate Dappen by simply clicking here for their project “Men on the Moon: Journey to a Vanishing World” and help make history! To vote, click the red “grant worthy” button below their project — it just takes a few seconds, and it will really make a difference!
If we help Neil and Nate get the $25,000 “Stay Thirsty Grant” from Dos Equis (yes, the beer company!), they will travel to the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda, one of only a few places in the world where glaciers can be found on the Equator! And they’ll create an exciting short film along the way — a film that will reveal important new information about how the people, animals and plants are responding to the changing climate — and it will be available online for everyone, for free! The first ascent of these rugged peaks was in 1906, and that expedition captured detailed photographs that still exist today. Neil and Nate will embark on the greatest adventure of their lives to retrace that expedition’s steps and capture the same landscapes a century later. Plus they’ll get to toast Dos Equis at the top of the glaciers. Pretty sweet. Help ’em out and go give a quick click!
